Taking place at the University of Bristol, this year’s cadaveric day will focus on lower limb surgery.

̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê Cadaveric Day 2024 aims to provide hands-on experience in dissecting and understanding various surgical flaps. Led by eight experienced consultant faculty and assisted by two registrars, the course will cover a range of flaps including Gracilis, ALT, Fibula, MSAP, Medial plantar, Extensor digitorum brevis, Peroneus brevis, and Gastrocnemius. The faculty, all authorities in flap surgery, will guide delegates through short presentations and practical dissections of each flap.

The course is designed to reinforce the skills of experienced surgeons and introduce safe, effective techniques to those new to these procedures. Delegates will be divided into groups, each allocated a limb, allowing them to act as the main dissector for at least half of the flaps and assist with the remainder. This structure ensures a comprehensive learning experience, focusing on the vascular basis, markings, and dissection techniques for each flap.
